I’m planning a Creative Sewjourn to the Dordogne, France July 12-19, 2011 - Please join me!

Plan now to join me exploring the best of the South of France in July, 2011. Our trip will coincide with Bastille Day, when we’ll travel to Bergerac (made famous by Cyrano) and watch fireworks on the Dordogne River. Then we’ll visit the tiny village of Issigeac for the Annual Basket Fair, when basket makers from all over France come on this day only to display their wares. Other adventures will include an open-air antique fair featuring everything from high-end antiques to my favorite: trash-to-treasures, a paper mill where they create handmade paper, fabric shops and cross-cultural experience with fellow fabric artists. I’ll be leading workshops inspired by each day’s experiences. Our home is Petit Rousset, a 17th century farmhouse that has been restored for your comfort and includes a swimming pool and 9 guest rooms, each with private bath.
